Exact Online API provides REST-based accounting and ERP integration with OAuth 2.0 authentication. Covers 150 endpoints supporting financial management, CRM, project management, and inventory with OData v1 protocol for advanced querying and filtering.

Core functionality includes general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, invoicing, quotations, sales orders, purchase orders, project management with time tracking, CRM with contacts and opportunities, inventory management, and manufacturing with shop orders and bill of materials. Division-based architecture enables multi-company access where each company operates as a separate division with unique division code.

Webhooks available for real-time entity change notifications with topic-based subscriptions limited to one webhook per topic. Sync APIs provide incremental data replication using transaction counters for scalable change tracking with batches of 1000 records. Rate limiting applies per division with 60-300 calls per minute and 5000-50000 calls per day depending on subscription tier.

Official SDKs for C# and JavaScript with community libraries for Python and PHP. App Center registration required for OAuth credentials with country-specific API endpoints.
